The Hip and Knee Unit provides an unrivalled service to patients with hip and lower limb conditions. It has an exemplary reputation for excellent standards of surgery and expertise - backed by superb nursing and therapy.
Using the hospital’s state-of-the-art surgical facilities, the Hip and Knee Unit offers rapid diagnosis, intervention and expert aftercare. It is overseen by one of the top specialist orthopaedic surgeons in the country.
Central to our philosophy is the belief that replacement surgery does not have to be debilitating. The Hip and Knee Unit is successful in getting most patients back walking on the same day as surgery. On average, patients are discharged in two days after hip surgery and three days following knee operations.
The orthopaedic ward provides a friendly, efficient service with bright individual rooms for all patients and 24 hour nursing care on hand.
